Am 14. Juni 2010 um 8.48 Uhr wurde er
unter noch nicht geklärten Umständen
auf der Beckinghauser Kreuzstraße radelnd
von einem BMW-Motorrad erfasst,
beim Sturz zog er sich schwerste Kopfverletzungen zu,
denen er wenig später im Krankenhaus erlag.
Die Urnenbeisetzung fand
am Freitag, dem 25. Juni 2010, um 12.00 Uhr
auf dem Kommunalfriedhof Lünen-Altlünen
(Cappenberger Str., Telefon (02306) 5 61 54)
statt.
